La Carihuela is an old fishing village which has picturesque panoramic views. The houses are simple many with bougainvillea growing on the terraces and patios. It is located on the coast between Torremolinos and Benalmadena (2 resorts with lots going on) which are linked by a promenade where you can enjoy a leisurely stroll, with an abundance of bars, restaurants and shops.
The beaches are noted for their cleanliness and are lined by Chiringuitos (beach bars), offering the best and freshest seafood and as the beaches measure approx. 2km in length they offer plenty of sun beds which can be hired for a few euros a day.
It is a favourite with people of all ages who like a bit of peace and quiet or nightlife close by offers pleasant sea views and plenty of places to sit and watch the world go by.
Average temperatures in the autumn and winter months are in the low 20’s and temperatures can reach the high 30’s in summer
